Donuts :)

An amazing way to start a day:
1. Get up as late as possible (that's kind of 9-9.30 AM for me :( )
2. Get ready and have your breakfast.
3. When on way to lab, stop at the cafetaria, and cag with friends all the way!
4. Enter lab, sit down on the computer, and surf the net for the next hour or so... managing to chat with everyone who comes online at that time.
5. Get a donut to eat before you start work :P:P (courtsey Yun)

Now the last point is the icing on the cake ... or should it be Donut?!?

Ok. After this amazing start of the 4th day of this useless week, I soon realised that I had run out of membranes to use, and so started looking around to see if any other membrane samples would be helpful. Next, within half-hour of me finishing a failed experiment with an old piece of membrane, I went out for lunch. Had some amazing pasta and potatoes (have no idea why I choose this combination, the Italians would tell me so many things :P ), and had a half hour stint in the library, hunting for a book that was already issued :(
Came back to the department to attend the lecture, which did happen to be a good one. Something to do with Electron Microscopy and all. Loads of techniques here. Good to see that. Other than that, I ran another failed experiment on another piece of old membrane, and then decided to call it a day, and read news from TOI. Also found this site, NedStats Basic, very useful for tracking the traffic on your site. I connected my photoblog, and the photos page on my homepage. Lets see how much traffic I come up with in the next month. This was triggered with the pages being ranked by Google, and so I thought of tracking people who saw these sites.
Other than all this shit, nothing much to do. Me going home soon :)

...days gone by

Another week, some more days gone by. April 2005 coming to an end. And so is my practicum, though slowly enough :P
Still haven't come up with plans for the weekend, just know that bansal is coming at 5.50 AM, Sunday, to Sydney, and has to get to NewCastle before dark. So mostly will go to pick him up. Probably will ask Indrie for lunch/dinner for the weekend. She's very keen to eat north-Indian meals the Indian way - using your hands!! Lets see. Hopefully, will mail her tomorrow. I supposedly seem to be liking her attitude. Kind of like mine :) No worries, just aish. But then she's doing a Ph.D. which I wouldn't even think of!!
Hmm... what else, oh yes!, I started working on my report, finished the abstract, the experimental procedure, and rite now working on the literature survey. Seems odd, that I have started on the report so soon, but then watching Regina working on the report with 5 months to go, I thought I should do so too. And then I don't have enough time after my practicum gets over officially. So, work in progress.
Other than that, life's boring. Presently can't even finish The Untouchable by Mukul Raj Anand. And to think that I used to go through novels overnight!

guess thats all from this boring life :(

Rank

I just realised, that Google page ranks this blog a 3/10 and my photoblog, Picking the Pics a 4/10. I sure do seem to be getting some unknown traffic :) Who ever reads this crap, why don't you leave some comments, so that I also know who are my *avid* readers ? :P

ps: to know what the page is ranked, u need the Google Toolbar, and I know of IE only being able to use it :(

Movies!

Movies in Australia.

Expensive!!!
That's all I can come up with!

Other than that? Nice multiplexes, and even better shopping malls in which they are located in! Yesterday saw me going for The Interpreter, starring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. Nice flick, and nice seats in the movie hall (we went to Greater Union, Westfield Bondi Junction). But the popcorn was expensive. And so was the ticket: a whopping $11.50 !!! The popcorn? Well, it was just a meager $8.95 for a medium size! So, I bought the tickets, but no popcorn and no drinks. I was glad that there are no concepts of intermissions in Hollywood, because that would have just tempted me into buying something.
My company for the movie? Indrie, a PhD student in the Earth Sc. Department. Where did I meet her? On the sailing trip. She works in the same lab as Hans, our skipper for the sailing day.
The movie, showing only at 6.35 and 9.20, left us with no choice when we reached late for the 6 o'clock show with a House Full board in front :( . So, we bought 2 tickets for the 9.20 and then went about seeing the complex, (amazing that even though Indrie is an Aussie, she hadn't been to this place b4!). At about 9.20 we made our way to the hall. The 2nd worst part, other than the prices of the tickets? Movies in Australia don't start on time. If the show is at 9.20, the trailers start at that time! Its another half-an-hour before we get to see the movie!
The movie was surely a must see for everyone, an amazing show by Nicole and Sean, but then I am a Nicole fan :) Then, after the movie, we realised that the time was 11.45 PM, and there weren't any busses back to home. And to top it all, we both were hungry :( So, we decided to walk back, and probably get some take-away from a shop on our way. We found a Pizza joint, and ordered a large Veggie (strange as it may sound, but both of us are veggies :) ), and then with the food in our hand, we made our way towards home.
Walking in these lonely streets, with no one around made me feel odd, because Bondi Junction being one of the crowdiest places during the day has ZERO night-life! Eating the delicious pizza, (my third in 2 days!), we walked on the streets. Good for the fact that Indrie knew some shortcuts around the place, so that we could make our way back in half the time :) I dropped her at her house (not coz I am chivalrous :P... but just because her place was closer to the cinema, and on my way back home :) ) and then walked back home.
I checked if the library would be open today (its a holiday here, for ANZAC day, national holiday), and was glad that it is. But then its evident from the fact that I am writing this shit :))
Next, I though I'll call NG, was missing his voice for some time.. so called him, and man, wasn't he pissed to hear that I was returning from a movie, and he was mugging :)) That was a nice feeling must say!
Other than that, I got into bed with my clothes on, and slept like a log, and woke up at 11 this morning :)
Now, me going for a swim, after I get some lunch.

Water

Whoa! After Beer comes water! what next? :P

Well, this aint the water to drink, but to float in :) Yup, thats rite! Yesterday, I spent the complete day swimming. First, with a 5 hour stint on the coogee beach, a novel in hand, and the sun beating not really hard (the temperatures soared to a mild 25 yesterday, with the water at 20!!), it was a perfect day to be on the beach! From 10 to 3, thats what I did! After loads of swimming and reading, and feeling hungry for more than an hour, my friends and I made the walk to an Indian restraunt famous for its samosas! And with a couple in our stomach, we decided to eat pizza. As soon as we ordered at the Dominoes Counter, we realised that coz of the ANZAC week in Australia, Dominoes was giving an offer of large pizzas from $3.95 onwards!! So, we ordered another round of pizzas before the offer closed at 4. Devouring the two large pizzas per person was a task that we under-estimated. So, after having one, we went into the waters to take another swim!! And then ate the remaining of the pizza!

Next, when we were on the bus back to home, one of us decided the inevitable. Lets hit the Uni. Pool!! And amazingly all of us agreed!!! So, after all that sea-swimming and eating large pizzas, we were in the pool for the next hour, from 6 to 7, taking as many laps as possible.

And when I finally walked back home, I didn't have any energy to cook, nor any space in my stomach to eat, so just watched TV while I fell asleep on the sofa!

So much for swimming :))

Beer

A status message that one of my Yahoo! buddies is sporting:
God made Grass, man made Booze... whom do u trust?

For me its pretty straight forward, I haven't tried Grass, and hopefully will not in the near future. But then I have tried booze, and its not that bad, not if you don't get into the habit of drinking it regularly. By habit people question "Is once in every 2 weeks a habit?"... well I dont think so, coz then its more like drinking socially, thats all. but yeh, people have loads of theories as to when are you in the habit and when can they call u a BOOZARD. Now, I have no idea as to how I would define these terms, but when a German fried Lars invited me to have a couple of beers with him at a pub near the uni. I didn't say no. It is these instances when I think of Rahul's band "Why Not?". :) And, the question that I have is, why not? if you are going to have a beer so occasionally that it doesn't cause you any harm, or are you going to keep thinking that its a 'no-no' as your mommy told you? Till I am not drunk to an extent that I dont know whats happenning around me, I think I can handle myself, and till its not like I go asking for money from friends so that I can have a beer (or whisky, vodka, rum or anyother drink for that matter), I guess I am well off.
Now coming to that "couple of beers" with Lars, nice chap he is :). Treated me to one Tooheys' New, and I bought some garlic bread (though it was more like butter toast :(( ) and we cagged for more than a couple of hours :) . And to think of it that Lars is very weak in english :)) Not bad then, I must say!
But, lets see where does this beer take me.

Rain

After an amazing weekend and a good start to the week, the sun decided to hide behind the clouds today. And not only that, the rain-gods didn't seem to be pleased with the Sydney siders. It rained right in the morning, and is even right now.
Other than that, the 1st two days of this week went of pretty nicely. With nice sunny days, and the mercury not dipping, my apparatus worked at the near ideal temperature of 25 degrees, and I managed to get some favourable readings.
Today, while making my way to the lab, I met the 'Cleaning Lady' and she was pretty impressed with the picture that I gave her :). Nice woman must say!
Was reading the news right now, good to hear that the pope has been elected without much hassle, it was being thought that a new pope generally got elected not before 3-5 days of voting. But then, the German pointiff has a very different history, and is also very old, 78 years, now i wouldn't think of him to last more than 5-10 years. Hmm, so will be seeing something like this very soon.

Other than that, lets see how this week goes.

Weekend

With another weekend gone by, my days in Australia are numbered. Less than 3 months remain before I make the journey back home, hopefully landing in Delhi on the 13th. And in that nbd, I have already started writing my report!!! (I can't believe it too! this is earlier than even Rocket would think of starting!)
The weekend gone by was a memorable one. First, I saw Million dollar Baby in Hoyts, Fox Studios. Then had a nice Indian meal to finish the saturday. Sunday started with me getting up and ready for the harbour cruise. The cruise, starting at 1.30 PM was to last for about 4 hours! I made my way to the jetty @ The Spit, in North Sydney. One of the practicum students, Hans (a German), is a certified sailor, and is also a member of the Middle Harbour Yatch Club. He got this great idea of inviting other practicum and exchange students for the cruise! So, Amy (a Canadian exchange student, who called me just before I was leaving!) and I made our way to the Spit and reached there, without any hassles from the traffic a little before 1 PM. Looking at the parking lot, I realised the number of yatchs I should expect in the harbour!

We set out at about quarter to 2, and made our way, slowly into the breeze. As we began to enter the harbour, the view was magnificent!

We managed to get close enough to the Opera House, and then went right below the Sydney Harbour Bridge, before taking a turn to come back.

Once out of the harbour came the tough part. As the wind was blowing right into our face, we couldn't proceed straight. Hence, to cover distance, Hans made the yatch swerve on the left and then on the right, and so on, making a zig zag motion as we moved forward. Here, coz of the strong winds and my carelessness, I lost the FILA cap that was given to me by the eCell05 junta. Sorry bhai log, topi ud gayi :((

On our way back we saw the Endeavour, a replica of the Captain Cook ship that first sailed into the harbour. The Endeavour, after a five month voyage from England was returning to Australia!

Finally, at about 5.30 we set anchor at the jetty, and made the long journey back from the Spit.

So much for a memorable day!!

Research

Today, I managed to get some NaCl, and start off my work again. Sitting in the lab, and talking to a fellow practicummer, I realised research is not always easy. Not only because of the reasons of thinking, but for things like, the stuff required can't come to Australia before 6-8 months, and with just 5 months left for her to file her report, the project is as good as over for her!! Lets see what she comes up with, and it better be soon, else her pay shall be stopped! And all this because the previous student didn't call for the stuff while she was here! Talking to her made me feel that I was pretty lucky to get off with the only chemical being used was NaCl and Sod. Azide, both easily available in the market!

Another thing that has been hitting my head for quite some time now is the missing of valfis :((. Not getting a chance to listen profiles of B, shashi, nandan and of the other H7 seniors makes me feel sick. Not to forget the descent food, and the nightouts to follow ;). After all, it was 2 years that I spent with most of them! And now, I sit here, down under, doing nothing but 'research'. Bah!

But yes, I am definitely looking forward to the weekend, have a movie plan with a friend, and a boat ride on the harbour coming up. Hope the rain keeps clear, and I don't get 'wet' ;). Guess thats it.. me going for a swim at the Uni. pool :)

Wednesday 13 April, 2005

hmm..

Must say, not a great start of the week, neither for me, nor for the Indian cricket team. I am running out of NaCl, in the lab i.e., and my lab manager is on a holiday till the 2nd of May!! And the Indian cricket team has lost the 2 match lead advantage that it had over the weekend, over arch-rivals Pakistan! Damn! This week is definitely not good for Indians!
And to top it all, I am feeling a bit down with little fever, cold, cough, and what not!! Also, I happened to get my eyes checked (for free!!) at the university optometry department!
So, first coming to the eyecheck, I found that this university has an optometry department, which intern has a clinic. And they do eye tests for students free of cost, in turn the final yearites get a learning experience on willing subjects. So, I realised, Why Not?!? I took an appointment, and made my way for the checkup at about 6.45 PM, Monday evening. Everything went off fine, with only a slight change in number from my spectacles, and a good experience, taking all the tests that should be performed, but aren't!! Next, they put me on for another appointment, to check the back of my right eye, because there seems to be a floater in my eye, that I have been noticing for the past year now. Nice thing, had it done for free. The last eyetest that I had cost me Rs. 800 in Hiranandani!!
Next, on Tuesday, I took the liberty of accepting the forecast of the channel 9 network, and didn't put on a jumper when I left for lab. Result? I got a cold, coughed all night, and didn't sleep well. :(( Not the best start to the week.
Today, I realise I have almost run out of NaCl, and with my lab manager on a holiday, I have no idea what shall I be doing for the next 2 weeks!?! And even when he comes back, the NaCl shall not be in lab for another 4 days, so, presently looking at the time to kill, I have no idea what to do. Though, I have borrowed 2 Jeffrey Archers from the library, but I don't think they'll last for more than a couple of days. Let's see what I do in the coming days.
Finally, the worst part, India has the 'normal' batting collapse in the 3rd ODI at JamPot, and loses by a whopping 106 runs!!! :((( And, next game, they make 315 in 48 overs, only to see it being chased by the Pakistanis in the same duration! Man, being an Indian sux!!! :(((

The Trip to Canberra

The day for the Canberra trip started off badly, with me getting up at 6.30 AM, and the bus scheduled to leave at 7.15!! Though I had put my alarm for 5.30, it didn't ring, due to some technical glitches, into which i don't want to get into. I rushed through my getting ready, grabbed some cornflakes, made a bunch of cheese sandwiches for the journey (I wasn't scheduled to come back till 9 in the night), and made a dash for gate 1, Anzac Parade, Uni. campus. As I entered the Uni. main walk, the clock was showing 7.10, and my heart pacing fast with the nbd that I've missed the bus :P. As soon as I reached the gate, I was glad to see the bus there, and when I got my name off the list, I realised that about 5 more people were still to arrive!!
Entering the bus, I could see it was half empty (later on it was informed our group was of 24 people only!), I grabbed a seat near a Russian girl. Finally at 7.15, on the dot, we left the campus. Our guide was a local girl called Cath (I thought its short for Catherine) and the driver, Peter (who kept looking at the map, once we entered Canberra!!). The drive was supposed to be a 4 hour one, and we were given the pleasure of watching Shrek to kill the time. And even though I have seen Shrek umpteen times, I have always found it funny! So, it was a nice experience once again! We made a stop for breakfast at about 9.00 AM, at a petrol pump near Marulan. In Australia, and for that matter any other 'developed' country, the choices found on road are so limited, you just get to see McDonalads, KFCs, Hungry Jacks and Burger King kind of restraunts! The concept of dhabhas are totally alien to these highways :(. So, this petrol pump had the facilities of a Hungry Jack, and I made my way to get a vegie burger and fries. Must say, the vegie burger at Hungry Jack is much better than the one at McDonalds. We got onto the bus in about half an hour, and back to watching Shrek.
At about 11 AM, we reached our first destination, Mt. Ainslie. This mountain (I would call it a hill :) ) is just north of Canberra and gives an excellent view of the city. I managed to get some nice pictures here.

Next, we made our way from here to the Australian War Memorial.

This picture was taken right from right in front of the War Memorial.
The memorial had a great description of the the world wars, and the mention of all the Aussies who have died in service.

Also, there were many 3-d models of the battles that Australian infantry took part in.

These models, with the written description made the battles come alive. Though I must say, I did feel cheated on the content they had on the airforce and the navy battles. Also, the lower level of the memorial, which had the mention of Australia in non-world war scenes was very restricted. Though, I liked the mention of all the armies that Australia has worked with.

One can see the Indian Flag right behind the Turkish one.
After seeing through the memorial, I made my way out to grab some lunch. The cheese sandwiches did get my stomach full. It was now that I got to shoot some pics that weren't related to the trip, the kind of street life that I am liking to my taste :).

I managed to get a couple before I was caught!!

The girl sitting was the one next to whom I was in the bus. The standing girl is supposed to be a friend of the sitting one. I did get a nice smile from her though! They then came down to ask whether I took a picture, and then gave me their email so that I could mail it to them :) That was kinda good.
Next on the route was the National Museum of Australia. This museum is not a contemprary kind of museum where you have things of the past. Australia, not having a long past (just 200 years), makes this museum different. The main themes are land, people and culture. Different depictions made the visit fun.

Different kinds of Post Boxes have been used in Australia, but all are red!
Running before the schedule, we had a chance to see the different embassies and consulates. We stopped at the Indian High Commission and the German Embassy.

Notice the fact that High Commission is written in the same way in hindi.
Next, due to extra time on hand, we made un scheduled stop Lake Burley Griffin. This lake, runs right through the city, is a man made lake, and named after designer of the city, Walter Burley Griffin. The lake has a 35 km shoreline, and it is a pleasure if you get a chance to walk by it. I did get a chance to shoot some pigeons by the lake.

Also, in this lake stands a lonely fountain, the Captain Thomas Cook fountain, in the memory of the dicoveror of this land.

After the taking of pictures, we made our way to the final stop, the Parliament House. We had a guided tour of the place. Going through the Lower House, or the House of Representatives, and the Upper House, the Senate, I realised there was little difference between the houses here, and the parliament at Westminister, London! Both have the greens and the reds in their houses. What I felt was a good thing was that over the house were the galleries for the public to watch. 3 galleries for the public, one for the press, and right above the public area, was the children area, sound proofed by glass. The children inside could listen to the discussion in the house via a one-way speaker system. A well planned place.

The highlight of the building was the roof. The concept of the building is that it is built around the Capital Hill, with the roof still being grass. The idea being that 'people can walk over their representatives' :)). An amazing view is what you get from the roof. Also on showcase at the Parliament were the potraits of all the past PMs of the country, the potrait of Queen Elizabeth II, when she came to Australia, in 1955, and the first constitution of the country, signed by Queen Victoria, by her own hand !!

Finally, we made our way back to the bus, and packed up to leave the capital land of Australia. We were to kill time by watching the movie "Pirates of the Carribean", a good movie. We made our dinner stop at Marulan, at about 6.30 PM, and I once again had a vegie burger with fries. Finally we reached back at about 9 PM and I walked the remaining distance on my own!

4 Weeks

Today, I crossed the 4 week mark in writing blogs! Not bad, though I know that all that I write is crap! :) But something's better than nothing :) What else to say?

Yesterday, I was in Canberra, the controversial capital of Australia. Nice place, the tours description shall soon be up, as soon as I upload the pics.

Lab Comps Suck!

Late on Friday, while I was writing up my blog, I was reading the news.
And to top it all, I was writing about the scenes in Indian politics, of how the BJP screwed up all their chances for making a comeback by calling the present PM of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, the weakest of all PM's ever! And then the mention of how Hindutva had actually kept the country's secular front still alive! And the 'wish of the people' being to get a Ram Temple in Ahodhya! Dude, Advani sucks!
Then I thought about Pope John Paul II's death, and how and when did he make a mark in my life, that today I feel depressed when I see or think about his funeral? And finally, whether the Indian Cricket team would make it a third in a row ?
And then, my luck ran out, just when I was publishing the post, the internet allotted for the computer ran out, and I lost the complete post!! Well, I have tried to incorporate the most of salient points, but this aint that good :(. Still, what can I do?

Thursday 7 April, 2005

Its lecture time once again!

Today, after a break of more than 7.5 months, I attended a lecture, and was quite engrossed in what was being taught, that I didn't realise that the hour was over!! Now that this hasn't happened since JEE preparations, hmm.. Seems that I need to take a little more interest in what I am study in the future. But coming to the 1st off-routine incident today, I was shot, not in the sense that everyone would want :P, but just that my photograph was taken today for the membrane centre's website. Very soon my name shall be appearing on the page of Dianne Wiley as one of her visiting sudents :).
Nest out of schedule was the joint lunch of the day, was supposed be together with all the postgraduate students of Membrance Sc. but somehow the girls got lost, and all the boys ended up at the library lawn!! The idea of this joint lunch was of Pierre Le Clech, a French Post-Doc, and a very helpful person around the labs.
Finally it came to the wonderful lecture at 3 in the afternoon. The lecture being on Filtration behaviour in submerged hollow fibre membrane by Sheng Chang another Post-Doc, from China. The lecture though had me trying my level best to get a hang of his Chinese-English accent, did teach me a totally different aspect of membranes used in the world of chemical engineering! The basic concept of hollow fibre membranes was new to me, till now thinking of membranes to be flat sheets of paper like materials!
Other than these odd-happenings, everything the same, I took some readings, the net was all used up long before it was time for anyone to leave, and I was forced to use the services of the library to write this blog!
Guess thats it,
I'll call it a day!

Ramblings of an idle mind :(

After the freak incident of rushing into an old cleaning lady, yesterday was the same old routine. Did nothing much, just some experiments, recording of the data and killing time otherwise. Got the photograph of the old lady printed, and put it in her letter box today in the morning, while making my way to lab.
And just read... India beat Pakistan in the 2nd ODI.. Thanks to freshie Dhoni.. sahi re.. Not bad going for India right now.. Hopefully that should cheer me up.. Lets see.. Nothing seems to be happening in life as of now.. Just killing time that's all.. Nothing exciting nothing fun. Guess will take a break from blogging till get a good thing to write about.

so cya, for a hopefully short time :)

the 'Cleaning Lady'

Today, while I was making my way from home to lab, I saw this old lady cleaning the area of public grass on the pavement right outside her home. I thought I should take a picture, without her knowledge. But then she happened to look up and notice me! Man, I was so afraid, that I am going to get a beating off her broom!! Well for starters, she thought I was an estate agent, and that I was trying to get her out of her place forcefully! (and I thought 'it happens only in India'). I first tried to cool her down, and then explained that I am a chotta-sa photographer, and a student at a nearby Uni., and that I take pics of daily street life!! Thats all. and the prize? I got her to pose for me, but she wants a printout. I think I'll get her one! Then was the painful thing. With me getting late for the scheduled arrival in the lab @ 8.45 AM, she started on her story of how she has been troubled with estate agents and all!! And then the learning of the day: it is the old who work. The young(like me!!) just laze around and take photographs! Amazing na!! I felt the same!

Here
's the pic that I took.

guess thats it,

Finally

Yesterday was the day when the Error 114 suddenly stopped appearing in Windmill and I got to take some meaningful readings! Other than that, I had a great lunch of pasta and potatoes (I think I have begun liking it now), and I did some ghodagiri for Kalai. Otherwise it was a day like everyother day. Nothing much.
Now, coming to the ghoda-giri that I did, Kalai had 2 parcels, and both were stuck at the Kingsford Post Office. Kalai works at Bondi Junction and she leaves for her office @ about 8.15 in the morning, and comes back after 6 PM. And the great post office has timings of 9AM to 4 PM. So, I was given the responsibility of getting the parcels for her, and I obliged, only to learn later in the evening that both were *not* for her!! Damn the southindians. They suck! :)
Otherwise, I am happy with my life.

Nothing Doing!

Yesterday was a shitty day in more ways than one.

1. I had nothing to do.
2. I had nothing to do.
3. I had nothing to do.
4. I was sitting in the library for most of the day!

Now explaining the first 3 points shall be very tough, so coming to the last (but not the least for any reason!!). I went to the library to check mail, and with the thought that I would be back in less than an hour. I came back after a stint of 5 hours on the same seat! But before this story, let me tell you more about the night in surry hills!
As I had said in the earlier post, I was dying for some south-Indian delicacy, and so as planned, I went to Surry Hills. On my way I called Flo, (he stays at Surry Hills), that we could meet up there. As planned we met up at Coles @ Surry Hills, and then after taking a take-away of chana-bhatura (yes I changed minds on my way!), we bought a couple of beer bottles, and then made our way to his house. There I met Allen, the owner of the place, nice chap. We went for a few beers to a local pub, (sponsored by Flo!), and then back to his place for food. I had my 'hot-Indian' meal, while Flo cooked some rosetto for Allen and himself. We shared the beers, and at about 2230 hrs, I decided to call it a night, and made my way to the bus-stop. When aboard on 393, I met this IITD chap, Hitesh. He's been doing some projects in the Uni., and is thinking of apping in finance next year. Nice chap (that's coz he gave me a chocolate, and invited me to his place... Which happens to be on Meeks St. too!!). We had a nice talk before at about 2345 hrs, I decided to walk the last 400 meters back to my place.
Next, coming to my grand time yesterday, that I spent in the library, it was somewhat fruitful. Firstly, I had some chat with Bale, and Tejasvi, 2 seniors from H7. Next I kept a close watch on the Indian batting in the match vs. Pakistan, and finally scripted my new homepage skin, that I'll upload tomorrow, hopefully! If you read this thing after 4th April '05, here's the link: http://home.iitb.ac.in/~aashish/
After getting back to my place, I did nothing much, just sit around and kill time... something that I am very good at if I have a computer!
guess thats all for the 'yester'day!

What a day!

What a rough day! The windmill program still doesn't respond in any other way but for Error 114 and I have tried everything that the Windmill online help suggests. Dianne doesn't show up today, thus making me free to take leave early :)) (that was good though). So, I am in the Uni. Library surfing the web, going through photoblogs of others listed on Photoblogs and nothing much!
The good things of the day? Well, had a good lunch, with Regina (we both had sandwiches!!), and I registered my own photoblog, Picking the Pics, on the photoblog.org site! Other than that, no work done! And I am thinking of having some south-Indian food today, so might go to Surry Hills. Now, what else?? umm... i guess I have rounded up everything for the day! So, here I go!

ciao,
